What is a Primary Standard?
Primary Calibration Standards provide the lowest possible measurement uncertainty and serve as the top reference standard for accuracy within a metrology lab. This benchmark provides traceability that can be referenced back to precisely determined values, such as SI units maintained by National Metrology Institutes. This serves as a foundational reference for secondary and working standards utilized in a breadth of industries.
